Q. Do I need any type of license to bid on a vehicle?
A. Not for the public auction. All you need to do is register first.

Q. When do I have to pay for the vehicle?
A. You can pay the full price right after your bid has been accepted. Otherwise, you can put a minimum of 10% of the accepted bid price down. You have until Monday at 4:00 P.M. to pay the balance of what you bid for the vehicle.

Q. How can I pay for a Vehicle?
A. Cash is preferred. Personal checks only with a guarantee card.

Q. When can I look at the vehicle(s)?
A. The Friday before the auction.

Q. Is there a security deposit required?
A. Yes. $100.00 Refundable Deposit (Meaning anyone who is not awarded a bid will be refunded). If you have registered in the past, successfully bid on a vehicle and not paid for that vehicle, you MUST put up a $250.00 deposit.

Q. When can I take possession of the vehicle?
A. As soon as you pay the entire amount that you bid.

Q. Is there a time limit on when I have to pick up a vehicle?
A. Yes, you must pick up your vehicle by the following Monday before 4:00 P. M.

Q. What if I put down the 10% of the bid amount and did not claim the vehicle in time?
A. The vehicle can be purchased by anyone who comes into our office and is willing to pay the bid amount.

Q. Where do these vehicles come from?
A. Private impounds, Police impounds and other vehicles towed to our yard that were never picked up or for which charges were never paid for.

Q. Do I get the Title to the vehicle?
A. Yes. First, we give you a bill of sale. Then, you must take the paper work we give you to DMV. They will give you a 10 day permit. We send the other paper work to DMV in Carson City. DMV in Carson City then sends the title to the person named on paper work that we send them.

Q. Can someone just come in and buy a vehicle? Do we have to wait for the auction?
A. You may not purchase any vehicle except through the auction.

Q. Are vehicles in your list all of the vehicles that will be in the auction?
A. No. This list may change on a day by day basis.
Sometimes a vehicle that is listed is claimed by the owner at the very last minute. We give the owners every opportunity to claim their vehicles up to that time. Sometimes we pull a vehicle from the auction in order to further research information about that vehicles owner(s). We also pull the vehicles that are in really bad shape and have no real value. These are moved over to our other lot and sold to the wreckers.

Q. Do you answer specific questions about individual vehicles?
A.
We try to. However, we limit the answers to one or two vehicles per email address, per auction. Plus we do not answer any questions up to 2 days before the auction. We try to do what is reasonable and we do it as a courtesy.

Q. How does the rating system work?
A. The rating system is some what subjective. We check to see if they start. If the vehicle needs a jump start, but runs and is ready to drive, we rate it as 'RD'. If the vehicle does not require a jump start and is ready to drive, we rate it as SRD. We are not trying to fool anyone about the condition of these vehicles, we are only trying to give you as much information as possible to better inform you and to better meet your needs. The following table is a list of the ratings that we use and an explanation of the rating. Please note that the running or engine condition of the car is only a vague guess not a serious estimation of engine quality. We literally do not have enough time to do any more than guess.

CODE EXPLANATION
W/S or WS WON'T START
SRD STARTS, READY TO DRIVE
MD MOVES, DRIVES
